Courses and Training

Taking up the craft of beekeeping is not just a case of buying a hive and some bees from the internet. Without the knowledge to look after your bees, this approach is sure to end in tears.

Oxalic Acid to treat Varroa
Varroa mites can weaken your colony and make your hive susceptible to secondary pests. Oxalic acid is one of the best ways to manage your Varroa populations in your hive. Oxalic acid can kill up to 90% of the mites in your beehive. To reach these levels of effectiveness however, the colony must be broodless. Your beehive is naturally broodless in the winter, so this course will show you how to effectively and safely use oxalic acid and give your bees a great start for 2020. You will also receive a supply of oxalic acid for your hives as part of the course !
